Vision Of Theresa Parman - A Single Parent's Promise to God

Not many months ago, God laid on my heart to help feed the hungry. I am a single parent with two daughters. I have been in need at times for food in my own life. If it had not been for God and my church family, I would not have made it. God has called us all to help others in need. I made a promise to the Lord that if He would show me the way and the people to talk to that I would do it. I put it off for a couple of weeks thinking this is going to be to hard and that I couldn't do it. As I went through the C.L.O.N.E. class with our pastor, Kevin Ivy , I fell under conviction from the Holy Spirit of God. One night in class, our pastor asked me if there was one thing that I could do and not fail what would it be. I told him I always wanted to help other people. He ask me why didn't I start a food pantry and the rest is history. That was the turning point. It was just like God telling me again, "what are you waiting for?" I got the ball rolling and began to talk to people I knew would help us. With much prayer and support from the people at Cleary, today we have a food pantry!

All of our food is donated to us by our church members or anyone that wants to help pack the pantry. Over the past year, Cleary's Cupboard has been a success and and has helped many needy families within our own church and our community.
