Impacting our own community for Christ is very important to us at Cleary.  At the core of missions is a love for our neighbors.  We must be looking for ways to love and serve the people around us. So while “neighbor” is a broad term, the best place to begin is with your literal neighbors: the people who live in your neighborhood. This is the most effective place to love your neighbor as yourself—including both the believers and unbelievers who live near you.  Our goal is to see you serving one another in such a way that unbelievers in your neighborhood will see and hear you reflecting God. We believe that if the members of Cleary will practically live the way Jesus said to live in our neighborhoods, then we will allow the unbelievers around us to understand the truth and impact of the gospel and to respond in love and worship to God. It is in our neighborhoods that our love for God and for His purposes ought to become evident and increase as we live out the life changing truths of the gospel.  If we can grasp loving our neighbor as ourself, then we are ready for local missions. 

Cleary has many local mission projects that we encourage Sunday School groups and small groups to be a part of.  We put on a “mission now weekend” in early spring and late fall each year which involves our entire church.  Our Men’s Ministry works with construction projects of needy families in our community.  Our Ladies' Ministry is involved in several local area non-profit ministries to the homeless.  Cleary has a food pantry to help feed the hungry in our community.  At Cleary, you will many areas of local missions that we provide to help us love our neighbors.
